Ruislip Lions have sponsored local schools in this years Lions International Peace Poster competition. The Schools that have taken part include: Ruislip High School, Bishop Ramsey, Douay Martyr's, Bishop Winnington Ingram, Sacred Heart and Field End Junior School.This year the theme for our 2011-2012 Contest is – "Children Know Peace." All entrants will receive a certificate for taking part.

The Posters from the schools were exhibited  during the Ruislip Manor Christmas Festivities on Saturday 12th November  in Ruislip Manor Library.

The Mayor of Hillingdon  viewed the posters and the Ruislip Society of Artists selected an overall winner from a secondary school and a primary school.

As a result special prizes are to be awarded to Bishop Ramsey School school and Field End Junior School for their art departments.
